I used to use Rainbow brand henna for my hair, and I believe in their
information it says that you can use mineral oil, warmed, to help get
the henna out of your hair. I have not used this and I don't know if
it works, but they also have an 800 line you can call for questions.
Also it said that you can use commercial chemical color over henna,
BUT you need to wait at least 3-4 weeks. Rainbow also makes a range
of henna colors. I don't know what makes thm the different colors,
but you may want to look into using a really dark color over your
current orange.
On the other hand, if it really matters for the audition, make a BIG
note to the casting director that your hair will be a different color
by the time the show goes up. It shouldn't make a difference, but
they'll probably appreciate your willingness to go with their ideas.
