As I understand it, Ood or Ud or Oud comes from Agarwood aka
Eaglewood aka Aloes (not aloe vera), rather than Sandalwood,
but you're right, it is an absolutely wonderful smell.

It's really quite interesting, especially the way the
perfume is made.

I'm curious now if the musical instrument "Oud" is or
was made from the wood of this tree. Is that how it
got it's name?

If anyone finds any of this perfume and tries it over
hennaed skin I'd be very interested to know what you
think of it. I absolutely love it!
