There are many, many terpines (huge group of plant molecules) but only
a few are helpful to henna. That's why most oils don't do anything
for henna, but a few blast it through the roof. You have to locate
EO's that have high levels of terpinene (outstanding) and pinene is a
close second. There are one or two others that look good. Some EO's
have the right stuff but cause problems (like camphor, nutmeg and
cinnamon). You gotta go through the stuff Niko posted links to ... to
look at the molecules, and then look at the constituents of the EO's
to suss it ... otherwise you have to locate a biochemist and offer an
excellent bribe....
