Green is NOT a reliable indicator of quality

Well ... the simple explanation is that the people who insist that
green is the only indicator of quality are just plain wrong.

I've seen very green (even undyed) hennaes that were from a punk crop
and didn't stain worth a damn. I've gone through plenty of
not especially green henna that was fantastic!

Is every bright red apple good to heat? No. Is every not bright red
apple bad? No. Some odd colored apples taste far better than those
picture perfect ones. As henna has quickly become popular, there have
been many people with a *little* knowledge who set themselves up as
experts .... and have even gone to press with some serious
misinformation. Other misinformation has come from wholesalers who
dump green dye into their henna to sell it to people as PRIMO when it
is actually PUNKO.

Scent is a pretty good indicator of quality ... hard to define,
though. There's an incredible rich sexy live smell to the good stuff.
