If you put henna on skin darker than the base color of the skin, it
shows up warm bittersweet redwood against the darkness. Yes, you can
get spectacular results on people of ALL colors up to and including
midnight! The henna is a translucent stain, staing the skin cells
ABOVE the malanin-carrying layer. So ... yes, you can see the henna!

You need very bold applications of henna, to get the most saturated
stain you can ... but stop and think! If your hair is dark brown and
you henna it, you build up intensely rich red tones.

The techniques are different, as several things have to be taken into
consideration that you would not expect ... but ... that's the Henna
Page E-zine article I'm working on. I've got 15 pix of henna on women
of color ... all sorts of colors ..... don't know the release date
yet, but it'll happen this summer.
