SC Black Henna Tattooer claims it's 100% natural henna ....the person is LYING! (or stupid, or both)Posted by Catherine Cartwright Jones on June 24, 2001 at 20:47:24: In reply to: SC Black Henna Tattooer claims it's 100% natural henna posted by Brandy on June 24, 2001 at 19:21:23: : Myself, my husband and my brother got a henna tattoo yesterday. We: left the paste on for an hour and it was very black. They said it : lasts like 2 weeks. We started reading up on this and had no idea it : might be dangerous! It is not only dangerous, it is illegal to apply henna with black hair dye mixed in, or black hair dye in place of henna directly to the skin. See: http://www.cfsan.fda.gov/~dms/cos-tatt.html I called the shop (Musical & Comedy Shop in : Myrtle Beach, SC, and the cashier claimed it's 100% natural and had : never caused a reaction. B*llsh*t. Do drug dealers ever tell you they're selling something that can hurt you? Would cigarettes have labels if they hadn't been forced to? Don't get me started. It's called denial, and it's not a river in Egypt. I am supposed to call back tonight to talk : to the owner. I am going to ask what the ingredients are (though : they probably don't know) and ask for the name of the manufacturer. Make certain the shopkeeper has seen: http://reverndbunny.sphosting.com/ppdburnchild.html http://reverndbunny.sphosting.com/mediappd.htm http://reverndbunny.sphosting.com/ppdburns.html as well as the FDA site. The shopkeeper can be sued for damages caused by this sh*t being used on his premesis. If you get him to stop, you're doing HIM a favor! Put these in his HANDS and make sure he sees them ... you will save MANY people scarring and pain! If you start getting a reaction (you have between a 8% chance and an 85% chance, depending on which doctor you talk to).... email me for the article in the Courtlandt Forum Dermatology Journal to take to your doctor so you can get accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment. Scarring sucks.
