Hi Lori, don't be put off if you don't have a helper. Last year I
went out every time with another artist and a third person to take
the money. This year I have been on my own at every event I've done
and it's fine. It is really hard work, but at least you don't have
to depend on someone else. The only problem you will have is going
to the loo!! What I do, is wait till it's a quiet spell - only one
person waiting, ask them what design they want and then say "If you
look after my gear while I go to the loo, I'll henna you for free
when I come back." One lady I had at the weekend really got into it
and was getting more people to have one done, while I was in the
loo! My set up is a Gazebo (I need my husband to put it up for me),
a couple of chairs and a table with an A Frame in front with my
designs on. People are pretty good, they form an orderly queue. So,
if you can't get help - still do it, don't be frightened - you will
have a fantastic time! Good luck. Lynn:

Hi everyone,
: Am considering getting a henna booth at a popular street fair, est.
: attendance is at around 30,000 people over the course of 2 days. I
: need to know the essentials of everything I will need as I will be
: pretty much on my own, I dont really have a helper (so I can take
: breaks etc)(if I cant find anyone to hang out with me for the two
: days I wont do it...sigh) and I want to make sure im prepared and
: things run smoothly. I also would like ideas on great decor to
: attract those passing by. I've been doing this since "97" but have
: never done a booth, only by appt's and in a salon (where I had easy
: access to whatever I needed). I really want to do this as it is my
: favorite event of the summer and I know it will get a good
reception.
: I need some handy tips so I am calling all for some serious help
over
: here!!!
: Thanks...
: Lori in Boise, ID
