At my previous job, I was a pregnancy outreach counsellor, and worked
with alot of teens. Henna is a really great way to bond with someone
and all the teens loved it. My boss also thought it was pretty cool
as did everyone else in the office. I was very fortunate. One
comment that was made by a young dad when, after coming to my Teen
Parenting program for about a year, saw me doing henna at the craft
fair in the local mall... "Wow, I knew you were cool, but I didn't
know you were THIS cool!!" I really treasure this comment, partly
because he made me feel really valued, but also because it portrayed
how universal and COOL henna really is (pun intended!). My current
job is industrial and every time I show up to work with henna
everyone wants to see it. I've been transferred to another area now
and haven't worn henna yet, so I'll have to wait & see what they
think... although I've done henna for my new boss's wife, before they
went on holidays last year, so I know he's cool with it (yes, pun
intended again!)!!! It's really great, and I'm very fortunate. Good
