I'm a litigation paralegal for a large law firm in Washington, DC,
and I almost always have henna on my hand, wrist or ankle (or more).
I've had numerous inquiries about what it is, who did it (for some
reason, people were surprised to learn that I do most of my own
mehndi), etc. The only adverse comment I have received came from a
friend and co-worker, who felt that "tattoos are not very feminine".
Everyone else is interested to see what designs I create next. I'm
also now applying henna to several co-workers on a regular basis.
