help for hennaPosted by Catherine Cartwright Jones on June 27, 2001 at 03:45:28: In reply to: I'm new and need help posted by Sienna on June 26, 2001 at 18:05:20: : I can't seem to get a good crisp line on my palms or the soles of my: feet. Use henna that is about as thick as stirred up yoghurt ... and try using a carrot bag. then, to retain crispness, try sealing with New Skin. The link below should provide you plenty of information to help you get fine, crisp lines. I got a clean thin line on the back of my hand. Also it is : more brown than red and I really wand a RED color. There are only a few hennaes that will give you a perfect red ... you need one very fresh from a rainy season harvest. Then mix up an acidic paste with nothing but lemon juice, apply, and steam it gently to set the color ... Steam can be very helpful in keeping the reds intact. MOre instructions on that are on the site linked below. Sorry to go on : but does any one have a recipe for clove/eucalyptis oil? That's not going to help you keep your henna red ... it will "brown" it. Try some other oils .... instead of clove (which can be pretty irritating. Try Frankincense, Cajeput, Tea TRee and Ravensara essential oils1 They do a damn site better than euc!
