I have henna from last summer in my freezer from Castle Art that is
staining 100% the same as last summer .... the product that comes in
the silver-coated bags. They seem to do a better job at preventing
demise than any other packaging.

Yes.... the darker skins are fabulous for henna! I hope you'll all
love the many pix of henna I've done on dark skin for the first issue
of Hennapage e-zine!

There is such a huge tonal range in "women of color" that it takes
some skill and experience to get good results on everyone .. but it is
not only possible, the results are more than worth the effort! I
think hennaeing dark skin is virtually a whole other genre, more
complex, more challenging .... it goes SOOO far beyond *put dark lines
on a pale ground*.

Not only that ... the aesthetic of African design is so different from
South Asian .. I find it refreshing and very satisfying to do African
patterns!

There's Aftican patterns in my pattern book .... look over
http://reverndbunny.sphosting.com/patbook1.html and email me if you
want a sheet or two emailed to you free. I'm partial to the Nigerian
patterns! ... also free African patterns for you at
http://reverndbunny.sphosting.com/Freebies.htm

BTW ... all the hennaes I have on women of color in the article are
henna from Castle Art. The colors are exquisite!
