I am in complete agreement here! It seems like using vaseline would
be messy, possibly cause smearing, and in general be a bad idea! I
also try to avoid petroleum products (vaseline, mineral oil, baby
oil) because they're icky and not so good for your skin. I agree that
the purpose of "fixing" henna is so that you can function yet keep
the paste on! (and I'm loving the addition of sugary stuff into the
mix... I've had a few unfixed applications that would not budge!)

Zimra, whose mom used to be a product tester for lotions, creams, and
soaps for hospitals & health care professionals (and they did not
think highly of petroleum products!)
