: If you cruise down this page, you'll find some excellent links
posted
: by the brilliant Niko Txilar (who's helped me on so much chemistry!
: (I am not worthy, I am not worthy)) to info on terpines.
:
: Terpineol, and terpinene are naturally occurring terpines, that
plants
: make. They're small molecules, found in many essential oils .....
:
: There are 3 or 4 monoterpine hydrocarbons that look to me as if
: they're the "magic bullet" for henna.
:
: So far, the "mystic~ninny-boutique" sources of oils I've tried
locally
: have been less than wonderful. Too much adulteration, too little
: accountability. I'm pleased with Wyndmere brand at the
moment ....
: and I put a link to cajeput on line that Zimra suggested on the
: cajpage in the rabbit hole if you can't find any.

Catherine, you DO have a way with words..."mystic~ninny~boutique".
That's funny! Well, I guess I just donated $68.00 to the
Mystic~Ninny Foundation for the Adulteration of Oils. I will have to
get some from the sources you suggested just to smell the
difference. I just smelled the three bottles of Cajeput I bought and
each bottle smells different. Guess that says something! What I
have clearly has had some effect on the Earth Henna beyond the change
in consistency. But I have nowhere near the deep dark browns that
you obtained. Another reason to be at Sirius Rising...to train my
nose to what the real deal smells like. Until then, I am back to
playing with what I have. Whatever it is...
