I too am sorry you feel this way. I must admit the first draw for me
many years ago with henna was the fact that it was a temporary way to
decorate my skin (in other words cool)and I had no clue about any of
its rich history or traditions. Much to my delight I discovered there
is much more to henna. Traditions, history and artistic freedom that
has greatly enriched both my mind and my heart. Henna seems to have
many uses in many lands and it, like all things, is ever evolving. I
don't think it matters much what your race, religon or nationality is
when it comes to henna. What matters is you keep a kind thought in
your heart for all those who have done henna in the past, those who
continue henna tradtions in the present and a hope for those who will
follow us in the future. It continues to amaze me that the powdered
leaves of one little plant can bring so many of us together across
the world to celebrate an art with such joy.
