The other powders I've used that gives a more reddish stain is
Kenzi's Moroccan and Jamila. The pattern in the picture on this page
was done by Kenzi's Moroccan. I used my usual elixir which is lemon
teabag, fresh lemon/lime juice, cloves, a little sugar and bits of
catechu. I left the paste overnight (no wraps, no nothing).

If you click on the link below, you could see what Jamila can do. For
that pattern, I added just lemon juice to the powder ('cos I was lazy
and I had some lemon juice handy). Same thing, left overnight, no
wraps. I was surprised and very pleased with the stain too, such a
beautiful red :) ... Why don't you give them a try (if you haven't
already ;)).
