: what's the nearest city that I could fly into easily and get picked
up by someone who's driving in? (Like, say, Boulder, Santa Fe)

The nearest city to fly into would be Albuquerque. It's the largest
airport in the state, and I would easily be able to pick you up from
there.

Madrid is about a 30 minute drive from my home in Tijeras NM and if
you follow the same road (North 14) past Madrid its a beautiful
mountain drive up to Santa Fe. I recommend it over the freeway if you
have the time to just ramble your way along.

Another option besides the Hummingbird facilities, but I'd like your
feedback Catherine, would be the Cedro campgrounds. These are in the
Cuba Nat'l Forest and a 5 minute drive from my home in the same
mountains. But is this too much of a roughing-it idea for the event?
I don't know if folks want to be put up in rooms with cots, etc
(which is more Hummingbird's set up) or if we want to set up big camp
for a few days with tents, cook over Colemans or fires, etc. I don't
know yet if Hummingbird has kitchens for use. But I know some folks
may not dig on the down-to-earth, outdoors thing. Personally I love
camping, thats why I moved to the mountains. And if anyone needed
ammenities (desperate for a shower, phone, etc) I would be happy
escort them the whole 5 minute drive to my home.

On the good side, meeting at the campgrounds would DRASTICALLY cut
our overall costs. And for anyone flying in, its far more convenient
of a drive than getting out to Hummingbird, which is about 1.5 hours
or so north of Albuquerque.

What is Sirius in Brushwood like? Are you outdoor camping (i.e. REAL
camping) or is it cabin-camping?

Feedback ANYONE please.
