It's the best place for it, due to the heat sensitivity of henna. It is also light sensitive, so after you package it you will want to wrap it in foil to keep out all the light and just to be on the safe side. Whenever I mix a batch of paste I usually throw half of it in the freezer. That way I always have some handy. It seems to store quite well this way. I also store it in the refrigerator if I know I am going to use it in the next 2 or 3 days. Now, as for your maroon dreams. What brand of henna powder are you currently using to get 'orange' color with? What liquids are you mixing your powder with? Boiling black tea, dried lime slices and cloves makes a great liquid to add to the henna powder. There are all sorts of things you can add to play with the color. I haven't tried pomegranates or tamarind, but I have always heard those help tremendously. Just start experimenting and see what you like! Good luck to you, Justine Willowhawk : Does anyone know if henna can be frozen in its powder and/or mixed : form? and if so, how long will it last? also, whenever i do a henna : design, the designs come out orange! how can i get it to be more : marroon? thanks, i'm still new at this henna-ing stuff!
