Just don't boilPosted by Nick on July 10, 2001 at 23:31:12: In reply to: Heat or no Heat? posted by MehndiGurL on July 10, 2001 at 16:43:05: Adding anything boiling to your henna will make it grainy and give ita bad texture to work with. So just adding warm/hot liquids is a good bet. The warmth from the liquids will also decrease the dye release time for your henna. I also find that nuking my paste for about 15-20 seconds can get it to release almost immediately. ~Nick : in preparation of the henna mixture, some people advise to heat hte : mixture using boiling liquids, while others say to use cold. Which : method makes the henna stain darker? and also, will heating the henna : mixture rite before using aide in darkening the stain any? THANKS!
