Tamarind in concentrated form has usually alcohol added to it and
might not let your henna reach its best color. The Tamarind sold as a
candy has sodium (salt) added to it which does not help on the color
either. The Tamarind I received from Thailand is free from alcohol or
salt. It is best used when added to lemon juice (without boiling it).
This enhances the color of your henna paste results.
