Sophie,

What I have learned to appreciate in painting is indeed the accidents
that you may not be able to repeat to get exactly the same results
but at least result in something similar...and it is the similar
result that is predictable. I just like the idea of henna designs
that can defy the expected hard edges. Yet, don't result in what
looks like a messed up hard edge henna design.

What I was wondering about when considering using the "watercolor-
like" henna to create a shape was what the effect would be if I
painted on a shape that would result in a really soft fuzzy edged
space that could then be outlined with a hard edged deeper stain and
also decorated over with the hard edge deeper stain to produce
designs resulting in three different colors....the lighter
watercolored stain, the deeper hard edged stain and the natural skin
color in the places where no henna was applied. Just me playing with
ideas right now because I am still waiting not very patiently for the
stains on my hands from my other "experiments" to disappear. I have
done all sorts of things that should have made these stains pack up
and dissappear but they are stubborn and reluctant to go. However,
they are faint stains now so I am hoping they will be completely gone
by Sunday so that I can play again.

I love the idea of what happened to your flower. That has got to be
truly great to have created. Keep playing and keep posting the
results. I have nothing new to post cause I'm still waiting to get
my skin back.

Maureen here watching these stains disappear more slowly than hair
grows.
