Buying I had one badexperience but selling, no. Sellers cannot choose who to sell to, though. You have to take whoever wins. In my ads, I talk about how I used to buy the dead powder they sell in boxes at ethnic markets and how jazzed I was to find something that not only worked but outperformed my expectations by a huge amount. I give people an emotional reason to respond to. "Hey, I bought the same dusty box and I had the same results!" Be specific. Say it's Indian or Pakistani, or from Bombay, or from a good crop, or anything else which will help people decidi if you are what they're looking for. I've gotten a lot of people who just ask questions, and made some new friends, and sold a lot of henna along the way. I give a link to my website in the ad and encourage people to go look at it, which usually works well. : Hej, : : Over here, we've been discussing the possiblity of putting some henna : kits and bindis up for auction at ebay in the future. I know a few : people here have done so - any advice? : : At the moment, it seems like henna kits aren't selling quickly and : that the same people are putting these kits up over and over and over : (and asking far too much money for some of them). Some people won't : sell to anyone who hasn't bought before. Some people can't : spell "tattoo" when they refer to henna as a temporary one. : : Should we wait a while to see if the market changes? If we do decide : to do this, what sort of things should we avoid? What sort of things : should we do? : : Thanks much for any tips! : : Anne, who's off to SCA fight practice this afternoon in hopes of : interesting a few people in some henna
