The Bad News: The things that turn henna black are usually dangerous
to use and can cause anything from 3rd-degree chemical burns with
permanent scarring to permanent liver damage. Check out the link to
Black henna information at the top of this page. You're leaving
nailpolish remover on your skin for hours at a time? It dissolves
plastic, what do you think it's doing to your skin?

The Good News: If your powder is still green when mixed (unless you
mean that it's turning your skin green?), then you probably have
regular henna, which is ground-up plant leaves, which has no harmful
side effects at all. If you mix it with lemon or lime juice and a
boit of sugar, it will turn into a dark green paste which, if left on
for several hours and kept warm and damp, will give a very dark
brownish red stain.

Be glad if your powder is green, it may have saved you a great deal
of pain or illness. For better instructions, go to www.mehandi.com
and follow the recipie there.
: I bought black Henna in tunis to make Henna Tattoo's. If I mix it
: with wather and lime and nailpolish remover it stays green.
: Can somebody help me, if you know what to do.
