Mysterious black slime

Hi, I work at a store names body graphics, and alot of companies
send us samples, and a few of them sent us this weird black pasty
stuff. I don't know what it is, and have no idea what it might be.
It smells kinda like premade paste, but ten times stronger, and
without the henna-ish smell to it. Can anyone help?
