Hi,
I've been reading this board for a while and finally decided to
post something. I've never tried tea tree or cajeput, but I just tried
Bergamot (the one I got doesn't cause photosensitivity because it's
"bergaptene free"). It worked great! I kept the paste on for an hour,
maybe less. At first the stain was a light brown, not too special.
The next day I went over the design and left it on for a shorter time,
I also added a small part to the patern. The color didn't get too much
darker until the next day. About 48 hours later it was (and still is)
a dark mahogany brown. The part that I added the second day is really
light and just looks like a smudge so I don't think the second time did
too much. Also the design is around my wrist and the same color all
around. All wrist designs I have done or had done for me are usually
darker in some places. It's been a few days since I put it on and hand
washing has made it fade a little, but it is still almost as dark. I
might try to take a picture of it and post it if I can get a good one.
One more thing about bergamot, it smells great. I haven't smelled tea
tree but from what I've heard it smells much better!
