I don't know if anyone's brought up this topic anytime recently, but
the last time my aunt came over from India (about a year ago) she
could talk about nothing but "nail polish mehndi" - artists using
nail polish on people's skins to get mehndi-like designs. You can
see an example of this on usha and ekta shah's website -

sounds interesting to me, but I'm past my multicolored nail polish
stage, and most of my colored polishes are at home. And heck, I'm
lazy and not quite sure what a nail polish design will feel like on
my skin.
