I am going through the same thing except its rough being a 48 year
old that has to explain himself to most people who see the designs on
my hand....I say hand cause I have'nt done my right hand yet.
The only place I feel that this artform is appreciated is on this
forum and in a coffee house that I do occational gigs at.

If you really think about it we do alot to do this artform and we
don't have a large canvass to do mehndi on....its very intricate.
And look at all the research we do. Yet we still do it, we still
love it and no small minded jerk can tell me that I can't.
