Black to brown?

Hi, my friend (not really a friend, just an aquaintance) Got a black
design on her back. And when i told her that it contained para-
phenelynediamine she kinda freaked. But then she said she was told
it wasnt black henna and that it was brown? It looked pretty black
to me......anyways, she said it was brown at first and it darkened to
black, sounds like some kind of terpine to me. But the thing is it
faded back to brown. Are these the properties of gasoline? Or some
other nasty substance? I'm kinda ignorante on the subject of black
henna, so any feedback would help. Oh and another thing, I'm pretty
sure they used morrocan henna, because when i passed by to check them
out, the mix was brown like the henna i use ( morrocan turns brown
when its dye has been released). Thanks.
