: Hi Lisa,
:
: My experience with cajeput in my mixtures is that I might wrap and
: might not. I only use the lemon sugar, tissue and glove or towel
to
: wrap if I am going to keep the paste on all night. But, the Siruis
: experiments seem to have had success without any lemon/sugar, NS,
: tissue or anything. And have had success when having the paste on
: for only a short period of time. I have not done a design that I
: just left on for 15 minutes or an hour as yet. I still keep the
: paste on for hours and keep the area warm. I think it has become a
: ritual that I can not give up. And, I obtain stains that are very
: deep browns and burgandys immediately when I remove the paste.
: Because of the amount of sugar I put in my paste, the paste does
not
: fall off on its own. I always have to scrape. But you might want
to
: try it on yourself prior to Tuesday. Don't ever try something for
: the first time on a customer. It will do something flukey and make
: you look silly. Let it do something flukey on you at home so you
can
: learn to overcome the fluke. Once the paste has fallen off or is
: scraped off the care is exactly the same. And because of the fast
: demise of the stains with the EOs, I would really stress the after
: care. Remove the rest of the dried paste with animal fat, no
washing
: the body part for 24 hours, no swimming pools or hot tubs for the
: stained part, etc.
:
: Someone listed really good before and aftercare instructions down
the
: page a bit. If you don't have these written down, you might want
to
: copy it. No sense repeating here what has been stated so well
: previously. You will find that to some extent this henna thing
: really does allow for personal preference. As long as you do
certain
: things exactly right, you have a lot of room to play with the
rest.
: Let us know how it works out for you.

i did a design for a girl who worked the shampoo bowl at a hair salon
and who knew her hands and wrists were going to be wet alllll day
every day, but she still wanted a design no matter what. we decided
to go for an armband at the bicep (even though we discussed the color
not being so dark, etc) b/c it would last more than oh a day at the
salon.

i have yet to try cajeput so i cant offer anything relevent there,
but i agree with maureen that its best to try new stuff on yourself
and work out the bugs before trying it on someone else.
