I've had a few comments but most people don't say anything. One
woman in Berkeley told me she liked my mehendi. Someone else who
came into our office thought it was really interesting when he saw it.
Someone did ask if I had a tattoo and she seemed interested in my
reply when I told her about henna. The most surprised response I had
was from an Indian man. He asked me what I called it and we had a
very interesting conversation. I wish I'd had a better design on my
hand, though. He's used to seeing some pretty incredible artwork.
I'm not that good to start with and I had been experimenting and
ended up with a somewhat smudgy lines in a design I didn't really
like all that well.
