Everyone's saying that with their tea tree/cajeput henna takes longer
to set. For me my tea-tree terped paste was ready after about an
hour. In fact, it gave me a better stain after setting for ten
minutes morning than did a late afternoon henna stain. Maybe there
are individual properties in different brands of essential oils that
make the difference. And I'm sure that henna brands/batches play
into the matter as well. We'll see in this next henna test. I just
mixed up a batch last night and I'm praying that it's ready in 2
hours! (I'll see you soon, Nick!)

In general, I'm still not sure about the *secret* to perfect color; I
think it works differently for different people at different times.
I remember times at home when I'd have extremely fast-staining,
lovely near-black hennas, and other times I just couldn't get good
colors. Physiology and all this organic chemistry is incredibly
confusing! It reminds me of my orgo lab. Sometimes we got %10
yield, sometimes we got %110 yield. Either result is simply horrible!
