These are the ones that come in the lemon or lime shaped and colored plastic bottles. I have used natures lemons and limes and decided that shifting the henna powder and straining the henna paste was all of the straining prep that I wanted to do. I have gotten equal results with these substitutes. They are made from lemon and lime juice concentrates with water, lemon/lime oil and a preservative added. What I liked about them is the convenience and quantity that is just not there with natures lemons and limes. I have never tried Jiff Lemon juice so I can't speak about that. But to find out what works for you and gets you the results you like best, why don't you make yourself some paste with the Jiff Lemon juice and then another batch with natures lemons or limes and decide then. This henna thing is so much about experimenting and playing with the basic recipe until you reach your level of satisfaction...which is sure to keep changing. For reasons that have little to do with henna, I prefer lemons. Whenever I try lime juice, it just reinforces my preference for lemon juice instead. Not because there is a difference in the stain, but because I love the smell of lemons and find the color yellow more satisfying than green. I also can have an itchy reaction to the oils from the peels of citrus fruit such as lemon and lime peels so the little plastic bottles spare me from that as well. If you try the Jiff let us know if it worked for you. Maureen
