Stringy paste really helps achieving the fine lines that you can get from henna, and it allows you to henna "without the applicator touching the skin." When I had a kitchen, I used to add methys seeds to my henna tea brew, and that was supposed to help the stringiness. Now, however, I stick to my "ReaLemon," Tamicon, and EO's in the dorm fridge! ~Rupal
