For the last 3 years my son has gone from 2nd grade through 4th
grade, and always going to school with mehendi. Some of his teachers
thought it was interesting and wanted to know more about it, others
didn't.
Last year we moved and his new teacher seemed a bit
more 'conservative' (ok...uptight anal retentive slave driver would
be closer to the impression I have of her). By this time, I didn't
care what his new school thought.

But I understand your apprehensions. I think the kids will be fine.
