Usha and Ekta are definitely reputable henna artists, and theydifferentiate between their regular henna and their black henna.
Indian disclaimers and understandings of the PPD properties of black
henna don't work the say way they do in the states, and they're
catering to an audience that probably still thinks that black henna
is kosher. I wouldn't worry too much; I get more concerned about
people who sensationalize black henna and don't mention at all that
it could be harmful.
