Hej,

CCJ gave me some great information on henna use in China - I think a
lot of it is in the archives. Also, I posted this back in January -
for New Year's Eve, my friend took me to get my nails done. My
manicurist was Korean and my nails were stained with henna. She told
me that in Korea, they had something similar - it may have been
henna, but she wasn't familiar with that word. According to her, if
you dyed your nails with it from the first crop and the stain stayed
until the first snow, you'd find your true love. (I'm still
looking.) I wasn't able to find out anymore about this, but I'll
give it a shot the next time I'm up at university.

Hope this helps! Cureosity (sp? I can never spell that word) is a
good thing.

Anne
