Hi Susan,I agree that it might be easiest for you to find a source for henna
for your hair at an East Indian grocery store in your area. They
will certainly carry it. Also, most large beauty supply houses carry
henna for the hair also. Just make sure you are getting real henna
since there are a lot of hair products now with henna somewhere in
the name but they are not the henna you are seeking. If you look on
the "Where" section you will see the names and links to a number of
other sources of henna. I don't know if each carry henna
specifically for the hair but some do and henna specifically for the
hair as opposed to for body design is usually less expensive. I know
for sure that Navaid@fas.com.com and Sondarya@yahoo.com have henna
for the hair but you would have to email them or search through the
posts below and in the archives for their website links in order to
order the henna for your hair from them. I think the prices for the
henna you seek would be better at any Indian grocery store than any
other source. I would also suggest that you and your friends do read
some of the posts in the forum archives related to henna for your
hair prior to trying it. There are some issues to be considered for
hair that has been previously dyed. There are some precautions you
should take prior to putting the henna on your hair to prevent
obtaining less than desired results.
If after doing a little research through the archives you find that
you are ready to henna your hair I know that your will love the
results. I just started back to hennaing my own hair about a month
ago and I am really pleased with the outcome. Catherine C-Jones also
has a lot of henna and hair information on her site as well as a
wonderfully beautiful picture of her own hair that she hennas. So
just wander around the site and archives for awhile. I think you
will find all of the information you could ever need to make your
decision and know exactly what to do to get the results you want.
