Is this the pic with the paste on? You can certainly : see where the oils are on the skin. How has it held up over time? : Did it give you the two shades you wanted and did the shades remain : different enough in contrast? : : Maureen Hiya Maureen! This pic is with the paste on (I can only dream of such dark colors with no paste on at this point) and yes! The result did give me a 2- tone effect with the lotus petals. The residue *slightly*stained the petals to the point where they were darker, but the outlines of the petals were darker than the inside color - which is the effect I was hoping for. I was pleased with the results myself. *Especially* after my 4 a.m. "disaster" that I had suffered earlier that same day. The design was almost gone after only 4 days, I actually went over it again last night with some fresher, unterped paste. The terped stuff was pretty old by the time I used it, and I think that is why it suffered such a rapid demise. right now The color inside the petals (which I did not touch up) is just BARELY darker than my normal skin. It was the first to fade away. Hope this adds a lil bit to the henna puzzle you mentioned. It certainly seemed to reinforce your theory that perhaps the terp oil is carrying the dye, as well as the paste. Oh and it was Tea tree oil that I used in case thats helpful to know. Namaste!
