IF, is a much bigger word than its two morphological components! Just
as there are different grades of henna there are different grades of
terpineol. Further.. IS it terpineol? Teatree has excellent results,
no one would argue, but there isn't significant amounts of terpineol
even in Teatree. Teatree has terpinen-4-ol and -1-ol. It also has 3
different terp precursors. We have to be careful about jumping the
gun with these chemicals and work out which constituent it is and
which it is not. Lastly, the best effects may come from a terpene and
something else combined, the search itself is as fun as anything!
Plus, most chemical warehouses don't sell things like that in small
amounts, only huge amounts. I can see us planning out a co-op for
terpineol!

: If terpineol is the active component why not just use the pure
: terpineol?
:
: It would save us the hassle of finding a quality essential oil.
