It's NOT that EO's are good ..... specific monoterpines within EO's are good!

There are many EO's that do not have monoterpines. If an EO has few or
none of the monoterpines that are effective solvents, there will be
little or no effect on the stain. The stain will simply be as it would
be if the paste were plain.

I tested several EO's that I knew to have low or nil levels of
monoterpines ending in -ol, and there was little or no improvement in
stain over plain henna. None deterred the stain. They just sort of
sat there.
