Cheryl,

Let me start by saying I agree totally with your position. I would be
execptionally angry.

My boyfriend, whom is a great devils advocate suggessted this. It is
not what you are doing on your lunch hour, but where you are doing
it...ie at the company. Company property = liable reasons. While
she did not mention this, it may be the avenue she will take or use.

May I suggesst, if this is personal.....don't let that individual
achieve success by your reaction. Old addage about you can get more
with honey than vinegar. Don't be confrontational or show your
anger. Ask questions as if you are asking for directions. THEN
research the company policies as discretely as you can. Don't show
your hand. By no means am I saying not to stand up for what you
believe in.....but go about the smartest way. Knowledge is power and
knowing when to apply it is even beter. You have to see what you are
dealing with and outsmart her without her even knowing it.

Good luck. Feel for you. My two cents.

Lisa K

P.S. I would still be angry. If the coworkers like it so much....is
it unreasonable for an after hours get together?
