Well that's good then, we're on level ground.
re: the messy/more work issue- i suppose it's different for you,
since you say you've been using colored pastes for a long time. I
suppose then that it *would* dissapoint your customers if you
suddenly stopped offering them. But for me, who has never used
anything but natural henna on customers, they don't expect it, so i
don't have to worry about dissapointing them. I'd just rather not go
to the trouble if i know they are happy with what i offer.

I also suppose that maybe the attitude in the UK is different than
the attitude in the US- Here, a lot of people see henna as a
substitute for a tattoo, so artists have to get past that. But you
say that people come to you for henna because it is *not* a tattoo.
(Somebody correct me if i'm wrong about attitudes!)

: I also think that 'anything in moderation' is true - I use both
: coloured and proper henna, and explain to my customers the
: differences. All of them come to me for non-permenant decoration
: manily BECAUSE they dislike or disagree with tattoos, not because
: they think henna is the same thing.
: Also, I am well aware of how messy coloured henna can be, I have
been
: using them for a long time. But i don't think a little extra work
on
: my part means I should disappoint my customers
