Beautiful Job! I wish I was as good as people here; you all put me
in awe.

1) what henna did you use?
I used some presumably old, grey-green Jamila, with little success. I
got some great results with a henna sample I got from Anil Saxena.

2) what EOs did you use?
I use tea tree and add a dash of euc. EOs are too expensive for me
to seriously invest in right now.

3) how long did you let the paste sit (before adding EOs)?
12 hours or so?

4) how long (after adding EOs) before you start application?
This definitely varies; I usually let it sit for a few hours, and
then I henna with it until all my paste has disappeared. This
usually takes a few days. Staining is best after the first or second
day.

5) how long did you leave paste on skin?
I'm weird about this; sometimes I leave it on 45 minutes, sometimes 2
hours. Sometimes I henna and let the design sit overnight.

6) how long did it take to darken (deep dark red/brown, almost black)
after you scrape henna off?
It usually darkens over the next 24 hours. I rarely get near-blacks
except for skin just near my wrist and near my fingers - the blacks
are usually in the checkerboard patterns. The henna Nick did on me
darkened over the next 48 hours.

7) how well does the top of your hand stain normally (un-terped
paste)?
A nice brown, though I've never really tried it with "unterped"
paste. I usually added a tad of euc. oil before trying tea tree.

8) what elixir did you use with the henna?
Elixir? you mean like lemon juice? I add lemon juice, a tad of
sugar, and tamarind paste to my henna.

9) how long does your terped paste last (before it starts to lose
it's staining power)?
That, also varies, depending on how much my paste dries up, the
extent to which the oil and water separates, etc. I usually stop
using paste after 4 days.

10) do you refridgerate your paste?
Nopity nope nope.
