Darlahood and I both worked a corporate Microsoft Event, a trade show
of sorts, and while we were hennaing away at the Microsoft booth, the
Microsoft people were giving away free software as a prize for this
little game they were trying to get everyone to play. Well, people
were insisting that there had to be a way for them to get all the
software and not just Publisher or just Age of Empires or whatever
else they were giving away (all of which were worth at least $50), so
they decided that anyone who allowed me to henna the Microsoft .NET
logo on their faces would get all 5 pieces of software. So I ended up
doing great big logos on the faces of about 5 people, all of whom
walked away with about $250 worth of free software for it. One of
them worked for Apple, though, which also had a booth at the event,
and I believe she got in quite a bit of trouble. And at the cocktail
reception later that night, I hennaed .NET on the back of the shaved
head of one of the higher-up execs. The whole day was very strange,
but paid very, very well.
