Yeah, I did...just the finger rings, simple, elegant. I didn't get
any comments and just a few stares. I just felt like a NYC freak,
sticking out like a sore thumb, though not in a hugely embarassing
way. The clothes I wore plus the henna really put me over the top of
the freak-o-meter which is calibrated differently in Michigan! In
NYC everyone knows that I am not a native, but in Michigan, my home
state, everyone sees me as a New Yorker! I've lost my dual
citizenship, I think.
