I am going to talk with CCJ about dates and about what needs to be
organized and reserved etc. I know of some relatively inexpensive
housing options here but Connecticut is also a good idea.

More news after I speak with CCJ who has infinitely more experience
than I do at organizing such events.

p.s. I agree with Nick, we don't have to do a full-blown Sirius-type
conference, but more of a gathering where we hang out, practice,
experiment, learn, shop, henna, play....that sounds like sirius, but
I am thinking that it won't be quite the same in NYC with all the
distractions and attractions.
