cake decorating sitePosted by Ronna on August 26, 2001 at 15:04:01: In reply to: to Anne Beltestad posted by Rosemary on August 26, 2001 at 00:57:41: A few years back I took a class at Michael's craft store & theproducts used were from Wilton. I just checked out their website (wilton.com, of course!) and they have all the supplies you need online, but I did notice they only ship to the U.S. The tips are in the cake supplies category under "tips", and the ones you are looking for are called "rounds". The collars are actually called couplers and are in the "tip tools" section. They also have decorating bags, both disposable and reusable. I have some of the reusable ones, but have never used the disposable. I imagine they are pretty heavy duty though, because icing is usually thicker than henna paste. I guess I'm gonna have to try this method. I've been hesitant because I really wasn't all that great at the fancy cake decorating stuff, but I think henna might be easier. The only thing I'm wondering about is the amount of icing/henna that would have to go in the bag. I only henna myself & sometimes the kiddo, so I don't make a very big batch at a time. When I used the tips & couplers for cakes, it seemed like I ended up with a big glob of unusable icing left in the tip and the coupler area of the bag. It wasn't much for icing, but with henna, a tablespoon or so might be half a batch! Hope all this made sense! Happy hennaing!!
