I don't know any henna artists there but New Orleans is a great place
to go. It's August so it will be very hot with high humidity.
Dress appropriately and drink lots of water. Take the carriage tours
of the city starting from Jackson Square- they are highly
entertaining although historical accuracy is not always the reason
why. Try beignets at Cafe Du Monde. They are little french powdered
donuts that are wonderful(open 24 hrs). At night you will be safe
where crowds and lights are. A block away from the crowds and lights
it is unsafe. Use cabs at night. If you have centrally located
hotel it is unnecessary to rent a car. Airport transfers to downtown
hotels used to be about $10.00 per person. The Court of Two Sisters
has a Jazz Brunch that is excellent and fun. We had Mimosa's and we
were playing with the crawfish heads like fingerpuppets by the end of
the meal. The Gumbo Shop has good prices for excellent meals-be
prepared to wait. One of the really neat things is how you move from
pool to pool of music. Have a great time and contact me if you want
more info on planning your stay.
Enjoy

: I'm going to be in New Orleans this week & was wondering if anyone
: here has a studio or kiosk, etc. in the French Quarter or
: thereabouts. I thought it would be interesting to put a face to a
: name!
: Thanks! Ronna
