Transfers

I recently bought a book on henna tattoos and it came with temporary
transfers and some henna paste. I'd never done this before and the
book said beginners should use a temporary transfer and hanna over
top to guide your lines. I did everything else -- kept it moist with
lemonjuice/sugar solution for about 10 hours and in the morning --
nothing. The transfer scraped off with the dried paste and left
nothing. Help?
