I've found that rooting cuttings of henna is easy -- cut just below a joint, dab liberally with rooting hormone, and put in wet vermiculite or just in water. The cuttings root in less than 2 weeks, and produce vigorous plants. I haven't tried henna from seed, but have heard that the germination rate is tricky, and that the baby plants are very susceptible to molds and "damping off". But if you have a green thumb with other seeds, you might want to give it a try. I tend to have troubles with getting things to grow from seeds (although I'm fine with full-grown plants), so maybe you will have better luck.
