Hi. I bought some paste yesterday and I did Mehndi to myself for the
first time. I thought I liked the design when I was done, so I left
it on. It took me about four hours to relize I didn't like it. I then
tried scrubbing with different soaps and a loofah sponge to the point
that my feet (the tops where the designs were) were starting to get
red and sore. I stopped before I irritated my skin more, even though
I wanted to get the henna off (I had scraped the paste off about two
hours earlier) before it got any darker. It faded a little, but it
was still visible. Then, this morning, I tried to cover up the half
faded design with a new design, but unfortunatly, I messed up on that
one too. This time I wiped the paste off immediatly, about five
minutes after I applied it, but there was still the (new) design in a
mellow orange. So now, I have two very ugly designs that are
overlapped on the top of my feet. I finally did it on the bottom of
my left foot (a new design I'm very happy with) so if I messed up I
couldn't see it. Anyway, my question is, does anyone know of a way to
get rid of unwanted henna designs on the skin? I would prefer
something gentle, if there is such a thing. Thanks.
